Rescuing Dogs from Devastation
It's a miracle no animals were injured and all survived when a tornado destroyed the shelter they were in during a deadly tornado outbreak across Mississippi two weeks ago. Team BVSPCA has answered the call to welcome pre-storm adoptables, some who survived the destruction of Amory Humane society's shelter. An ASPCA transport carrying 13 dogs who were adoptable in Mississippi prior to the devastation arrived at our West Chester Campus Tuesday evening.
They have been relocated to help free up critical space and resources for displaced pets and stray animals in need of emergency sheltering. Team BVSPA continues to monitor needs across devastated areas as storms continue to tear through the south and stands ready to answer the call if the need arises.
The BVSPCA is asking for the community’s help as we welcome these animals on top of our day to day work locally and regionally. Join in this mission with a donation to help cover the significant cost of saving these animals and consider welcoming one of these rescued dogs into your home.
Your donation provides care to the 13 dogs rescued from devastation, and makes room to help save more lives and reunite families with their lost pets in the damaged areas
