Building A Dream
The Brandywine Valley SPCA intends to purchase property in Sussex County, Delaware as a Rescue & Rehab Center. Not open to the general public, the property would allow the following activities to take place on a regional level:
Last year, the BVSPCA found home for 14,652 dogs & cats and maintained a 96% save rate. With the Rescue & Rehab Center, we could save the lives of the most vulnerable animals, those deemed unadoptable for medical & behavioral issues.
On June 9th, 2018, the 11,500 square foot facility set on 13 acres off in Georgetown, DE will be sold at auction. Originally built as “Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary,” the building can house 400 dogs and cats at a time.
We need everyone’s help to make this happen. Thankfully, a generous donor has offered to match – dollar for dollar – every gift up to $100,000 that is made before June 9th. The more support we receive, the greater the chance we will be successful.
