Fall Family Fun is Here!

Fall is in the air, and that means our Bark on the Boards is right around the corner. Be sure to find peace of mind by doing Yoga with Puppies, don’t miss out on ordering your 2026 calendar, and be sure to join us for adoption events this October. Let’s save lives while having some fall fun! Here are some pawsome ways to help animals in need.

There is less than one month until Bark on the Boards returns to the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. Join us Saturday, October 18 for a full day of fun for the whole family! Expect live entertainment, DockDog diving competition, local vendors, adoptable animals, pet costume contests, games, our famous yoga with puppies, and NEW this year, a 1K walk!

This fun-raiser supports the more than 70 animals a day who walk through our doors in need of help. When you register, you are changing the lives of the animals we care for, and to show our gratitude for your support, registrants will receive a Bark on the Boards event T-shirt!

New season, new you! Start Autumn with a little bit of Zen, and a lot of puppy love this weekend, exclusively at our West Chester Campus. You bring the mat, we’ll bring the puppies! Reserve your spot for Friday at dusk, Saturday and Sunday sessions before they all fill up!

There is still time to snag your 2026 BVSPCA calendar, a year-long reminder of your support of our lifesaving mission! Plus, there are limited spots still open for your pet in our calendar! Celebrate your pet’s gotcha day, birthday, or choose a date to honor a special pet’s memory. You can also celebrate another special date, or your own birthday. Submit a photo to reserve your date. Calendar pre-orders and reserve-a-day submissions will be open through October 31.

October is Subaru Loves Pets Month! We are proud to partner with many local Subaru dealerships and the ASPCA for adoption events where you can meet and welcome your newest furry passenger and friend into your family.

Join us for one of these special adoption events throughout the month, where we will have dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens looking for their furever homes. 

Join us Saturday, October 25, 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at our New Castle Campus for a special Trunk-or-Treat adoption event! Delaware Subaru will be bringing the trunks and treats, and we’ll provide the pets! Bring the whole family, costumes are encouraged, get some treats, and welcome a new furry friend into your home.

Or, put on your best costume, pets too, and join us a little farther south Saturday, October 25th at the Bethany Beach Bandstand for the Wags, Witches & Warlocks Halloween Festival! There's so much fun to be had, from a parade to trick-or-treating, Halloween crafts, yoga with puppies, and more! We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
