A truly Mega success

A Truly Mega Success

So many beautiful “Mega Moments”. From little lives saved like Mrs. Peabody that came from communities with more animals than adopters. To seniors like 14-year old Buddy, who lost the only home he knew and went to live his golden years with an adopter who specifically came to adopt a senior. And cruelty victims like Clarice, who adores children and got a whole pack of her own.

Every number in that 1005 adoptions is an individual story and a life flame that now burns brighter with the love of a forever family. We’re grateful to the many people who made this incredible achievement possible for these animals: our generous sponsor Petco Foundation, our awesome event sponsors and vendors, our amazing shelter partners, our staff and volunteers working literally night and day, and especially the kind adopters who welcomed these wonderful pets into their homes!

Mega is an amazing experience! It’s the reward we carry in our hearts through all the hard work and that you, our BVSPCA family should carry with you as the result of all your support.

We are fortunate to have support from Petco and event sponsors, but it doesn’t come close to covering the cost of saving all these lives. Please donate today to help support our lifesaving mission.

About the Brandywine Valley SPCA

Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the first open admission no-kill shelter in Pennsylvania and Delaware. In 2017, the BVSPCA cared for more than 13,000 stray, owner-surrendered, wayward owned, and abused and neglected animals while achieving a 96% live release rate. The BVSPCA provides animal protective services for Chester County and much of Delaware County in Pennsylvania, and it holds a five-year contract with the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare to provide state-wide animal services for dogs. Animals are placed through four adoption centers: the West Chester Campus, the New Castle Campus, the Georgetown Campus, and a PetSmart® Everyday Adoption Center in Dover. In addition, the BVSPCA provides families with safety net and low-cost veterinary services at its three clinic locations: the Malvern Animal Health Center, the New Castle Animal Health Center, and the Georgetown Animal Health Center. www.bvspca.org.
