Counting down to Delaware's special day of giving! We are proud and excited to participate in this years Do More 24 Delaware's Giving Day to highlight our work as a transformative community resource, as well as the First States only open-access shelter caring for lost and stray dogs and cats. Your support helps us do more for Delawares animals and the community of people who care for them, and again this year, you can double your impact! Do More 24 Delaware is a one-day giving campaign across the state that starts at 6 pm on Thursday, March 6, and runs until 6 pm on Friday, March 7. Follow the link below to sign up for a reminder to donate or start your own fundraiser to support our work and get ready for this special day. All donations will be matched, dollar for dollar, for this 24-hour fundraising event as you help fund our lifesaving mission.

Adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kitties will be looking for homes in Dover and Washington, DC, as we celebrate Tour for Lifes 25th year on the road as the worlds largest mobile cooperative lifesaving pet adoption event! This year, the Tour for Life mobile adoption vehicle will be making a stop at the Dover Petco on Saturday, March 15, and Washington Dakota Crossing PetSmart on Saturday, March 30. Were proud to be two of the 67 cities in 39 states hosting an event as part of North Shore Animal Leagues huge lifesaving tour. Adoption fees will be WAIVED for all adult dogs and adult cats at this special event.

Our biggest community fundraiser of the year brings fun for the whole family, dogs too! Register today to walk, run, sponsor, or be a vendor, then join us for Brandywine Valley SPCA's Walk for Paws on April 26 at West Goshen Community Park | 10 am - 1 pm. Start the day off with a pop of color by participating in our 5K color run, or save lives with a walk in the park. Our 1K walk will be led by Dawn Timmeney, Anchor/Reporter, FOX 29 News on WTXF-FOX 29. Well also have yoga with puppies, a doggie lure course, pet costume contest, live music from the Bachelor Boys Band, games and inflatables for the kids, local vendors, food trucks, and so much more! Run, walk or downward dog your way to our registration page to take advantage of our discounted early bird registration special until March 30!

Its been nearly a month since Sweetness was found by a group of kids near death - alone, starving, and too weak to stand. Now, he is showing his resilience. Thanks to the care of our amazing medical team and dedicated foster, Sweetness is getting stronger every day.  Every tail wag and every step forward is a reminder of second chances. Thank you to everyone who has supported Sweetness on his recovery journey. Your support makes it possible to continue to help animals in need like Sweetness.

We'll have puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats available at a PetSmart near you where you can adopt THEN shop for your new furry friend! Find us Saturday, March 29, or Sunday, March 30 11 am-4 pm.
