Saturday, March 29, through Sunday, April 6, YOU pick your price for any adoptable adult dog, 1 year old+. You don't need a flower to find out if she or he loves you, or loves you not - all of our dogs are ready to make a love match with you! Stop by ANY of our adoption locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or Washington, DC, or upcoming adoption events to pick your PAWfect pup and their price. Paws and Petals pick your price adoption fees are made possible, in part, thanks to Hills Pet Nutrition.

P.S. - Don't forget about our brand new Dog Adoption Center in Lancaster! It will also be celebrating Spring with the "Petals & Paws" adult dog adoption special, along with the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area and Animal Adoption Center in Lindenwold, NJ.

Adopt then shop for your new furry friend as we celebrate PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week with adoption events across our footprint all weekend! We aim to find homes for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens during the events. Adoption fees for all adult dogs 1 yr+ will be pick your price at all events in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Adoption fees for all adult animals will be waived for all events in Washington, DC and Virginia.

Kitten season is here, and we need your help! In the Spring, our campuses are flooded with kittens, bottle babies, and nursing mothers and their litters looking to us for care until the kittens are ready for adoption. Here are ways you can help:

🩺 Spay/Neuter Community Cats in your neighborhood. We are offering free spay/neuter, rabies, and FVRCP vaccinations for community cats at our Animal Health Centers in Malvern, New Castle, Dover, and Georgetown to help cut down on the number of unplanned litters and homeless kittens in our communities.

Youre invited to General Warrens Spring Garden Party! Kick off the spring season by enjoying the award-winning cuisine of General Warren, while supporting the furry friends of the BVSPCA. Sunday, April 13, from 3 to 6 pm, the fun event includes hors d'oeuvres, sweets, pet treats, live music, and most importantly, adorable adoptables looking for loving homes. Eat, drink, and enjoy an evening with your two and four-legged companions, all while benefiting our work at the spring fling.

Happy Gotcha Day to Sweetness! Nearly two months ago, Sweetness was found starving, weak, and barely clinging to life, but thanks to the love and care he has received, Sweetness has shown everyone the power of second chances. Sweetness has been in foster with one of our staff members, who has been assisting with his medical care and healing. The sores on his legs have healed, and hes gained over 20 pounds since he first came in! 

Watching him grow stronger and stronger every day, our staff member and her family realized that Sweetness wasnt just a temporary guest, he was family. Today, Sweetness is healthy, happy, and officially adopted! Proof that sometimes the best foster fails are actually the biggest wins!

We, and Sweetness, are so grateful to the caring kids and their mom who rescued him, the amazing team at the Veterinary Emergency Group and to all of you who have shared his story and supported his care with donations. Thank you and happy tails to Sweetness! These are the happy endings we live for.
