Our Mega Adoption Event powered by Petco Love is not only the largest adoption event in the country, bringing 1000+ adoptable pets together under one roof, it’s a lifesaving experience. It’s two days where hundreds of volunteers, staff, and partners work together for one common goal, to save lives and create new families. There were tears of joy as we celebrated perfect matches and second chances.

We are extending Mega Love with $35 adopt fees through Sunday, June 29th at all BVSPCA adoption locations across Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington, DC, as well as the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area in Central Pa, and Animal Adoption Center in New Jersey. $35 adoption fees are valid for large adult dogs (1YO & 40lbs+) and adult cats (6mo+). Visit the campus nearest you to meet your new BFF and make a post-Mega match!

Mega paws, droopy jowls and a gentle disposition, Savannah was a staff and volunteer favorite at our Animal Rescue Center. Midday on day two of Mega, she was still waiting for her match. We featured her on social media during the event and it just so happened that the right people were watching! A family looking for a companion just like Savannah, paused their Sunday plans, and drove an hour just to meet her, and it was LOVE at first sight! We are so happy for Savannah and she’s a perfect example of fate!
Our DC campus loaded their trucks and vans and traveled to Delaware to their first-ever Mega Adoption Event, and they brought along Royalty! Prince Hans, the floofiest in the land, was found roaming the District. He was matted, had his guard up, and was having a hard time settling in at the shelter, but when he arrived in Delaware, all that changed. He seemed to relax like he knew his forever was about to begin. While he waited for his happy-ever-after, he met a Mega volunteer who decided she just couldn’t live without this Prince Charming, and the rest is history. Congratulations Prince Hans!
