Dutchess spent the first two weeks of her life crammed in a cage inside a motel room with 16 other cats. Her eyes were crusted shut, and she suffered from a painful joint infection. Pain and neglect were all she had ever known.

Rescued with the other 16 cats, Dutchess received urgent care at our shelter. Severe neglect left its toll—she lost a leg and the sight in one eye, but Dutchess was a fighter. In foster care, she grew strong and learned what it meant to feel safe and loved. That foster home became her forever home.
