Helping families stay together
No pet should end up in a shelter simply for financial reasons. Our free pet food pantry provides a bridge during times of need.
Distributions take place the first Sunday of each month from 9am - 11am at our shelter located at 1201 New York Ave NE.
Donations to our Pet Food Pantry help keep pets in homes with their loving families and out of the shelter. You can support our Pet Pantry by donating the following supplies:
Dog Food: Both dry and wet
Cat Food: Both dry and wet
Cat Litter: Unscented, clumping or non-clumping
Gift Cards: PetSmart, Petco, Chewy or Amazon
That's in a single year. The pandemic, the economy and other factors have made it harder for families to care for the pets they love. We've stepped up our efforts to get those families food, with a record 70,000 pounds of pet food distributed.
Open the door to endless possibilities. Together, we will create positive change within our community, help control the homeless animal population, and improve the lives of pets and their families.
