Named in memory of Pennsylvania Senator Andrew Dinniman’s red poodle, Henry’s Cupboard was created so that no pet would be hungry in Chester County, Pennsylvania. When the Brandywine Valley SPCA moved into Delaware in 2016, the program was implemented in New Castle County. In July of 2017, it rolled out in Sussex County. To qualify for Henry’s Cupboard, clients must be receiving State or Federal cash assistance, SNAP Benefits, Medicaid, SSN or SSI, unemployment benefits, and/or have an annual income of less than $25,000. We reserve the right to ask the Client for proof of income, and/or veterinary records. The Pantry operates the first and third Saturday of each month and is open from 9 AM to 12 PM.
