Turkey

Turkey was rescued from abuse and waited for over a year in protective custody for the case to be successfully prosecuted. Our Animal Protective Services followed this case every step of the way to make sure that Turkey remained safe, and he has spent the last couple of months in foster with a dedicated volunteer, where he will remain until he is adopted. In spite of the rough start Turkey makes progress every day. Once familiar with you, he is extremely affectionate! He likes to share your bed and sleeps on his back with all four feet up in the air. If given free rein of the house, he will follow you everywhere and enjoys snuggling on the couch for a night of tv. He is respectful of things in the house and only chewed toys/bones that he retrieved from the toy bin. He is good at entertaining himself and he enjoys destroying soft toys. He is crate trained, housetrained, and easy to shower and groom. If you would like to meet Turkey, he is dog friendly, and would love to meet your family and any other dogs in your home before this newest chapter in his life begins. Please contact RConnolly@bvspca.org to schedule an appointment.
