Meet our Princess! This royal dog is a staff and volunteer favorite. Princess has been attending several of our BVSPCA events and has impressed staff and community members. She welcomes attention and affection and may even give a lucky person a kiss! Princess took a break from the shelter and visited one of our volunteers for a few nights. It was reported that, "Princess is the quintessential middle-aged dog - Knows right from wrong, potties outdoors exclusively (not one accident) and doesn't need to be crated when home alone because she's too mature to be mischievous. She will engage in play if you want but otherwise she's a mellow couch potato. She's affectionate when she's in the mood. She has a healthy appetite finishing her bowl at each meal. She even eats vegetables. She loves car rides. She jumps in and eagerly waits for the window to be placed in a position where she can fit her head out. She enjoyed strutting thru the neighborhood on our daily morning walks. An easy walk/freedom harness goes a long way with Princess. I had some friends over to the house and she couldn't have been more charming. She climbed on the couch and wedged herself between them. She was a perfect ambassador. She was returned because her adopters fell on hard times. She sits patiently waiting for the right person who will roll down the window and indulge her with a spot on the couch. I know they're out there!" And so do we! If you would like to meet Princess, please bring your family to meet Princess at the shelter before you take her home.
