Are you looking for a rewarding adoption experience? Nester is hearing impaired and was found as a stray. He is working now to learn basic obedience through the use of hand signals and is doing very well. We are using the hand signals recommended by the Acorn Project (https://www.acorn-project.org/ ) and we will give you a copy when Nester is adopted. You can also add signals for words that you use in your daily life for deaf dogs. Nester gets along with other dogs in play groups. He has had enough challenges in his life. Can you offer him safe and loving home? Nester is currently enjoying a break from the shelter in a foster home. Necessary fees for adoption (credit card payment only, no cash or checks)
Appropriate handling items for the animal that you are adopting: a carrier for a cat or other small item (available to be purchased at our shelter) or a collar and leash if you are adopting a dog (also available to be purchased at our shelter)
