Critter Camp Teacher

Duties & responsibilities

Critter Camp will have one-week sessions, with the sessions running Monday-Friday, 9AM-3PM (8:30AM camper drop-off) each weekday and offer aftercare from 3PM to 5PM.

Please note that this is a paid position. Applicants accepted for a portion, or all weeks.

Critter Camp will be held on the following weeks at our West Chester Campus:

Monday June 12 – Friday June 16

Monday June 19 – Friday June 23

Monday June 26 – Friday June 30

Monday July 10 – Friday July 14

Monday July 17 – Friday July 21

Monday July 24 – Friday July 28

Monday July 31 – Friday August 4

Monday August 7 – Friday August 11

Monday August 14 – Friday August 18

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in education preferred; for college students, completion of student teaching is preferred.

Experience and passion for working at summer camps, youth programs, recreational activities, etc. Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.

Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Must have the physical ability to lead and participate in camp activities, including handling animals, helping with crafts, standing for long periods, moving, and/or enduring outdoor weather.

Must attend a physical shelter training session and tour.
